Terms & Conditions – Live Koi Sales
1. Live Animal Policy
All koi sold are live animals and require immediate care upon delivery. By completing purchase, buyer acknowledges the live nature of the product and agrees to the Live Arrival procedures listed below.
2. Shipping Schedule
Shipments are sent UPS Next Day Air, Monday–Wednesday only.
Signature is required at delivery.
Buyer is responsible for being available to receive shipment on the scheduled delivery date.
Failure to be present for delivery voids the Live Arrival Guarantee.
3. Live Arrival Guarantee
Koi are guaranteed live arrival when delivery procedures are followed.
Delivery must be signed for and the box opened immediately upon carrier-confirmed delivery time.
In the rare event of DOA (Dead on Arrival):
Clear photos AND video must be submitted within 1 hour of carrier-confirmed delivery timestamp.
Photos must include the unopened bag, original packaging, and visible shipping label.
Fish must remain in original bag and packaging during documentation.
No fish may be removed from bag prior to documentation.
Claims submitted after 1 hour of confirmed delivery time are not eligible.
4. Exterior & Interior Notice
Each shipment is clearly labeled on the exterior of the box directing the recipient to read enclosed Live Arrival instructions immediately upon delivery.
Printed instructions and direct contact information are included inside every shipment.
Failure to follow posted and enclosed instructions voids the Live Arrival Guarantee.
5. Environmental Responsibility
Leaving packages unattended, exposed to heat, cold, or sunlight voids the Live Arrival Guarantee.
Buyer acknowledges responsibility for timely receipt and immediate inspection of shipment.
6. Claim Resolution
If a valid DOA claim is approved:
Reimbursement will be provided in koi of equal value.
Shipping charges are non-refundable.
Replacement shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
No cash refunds are issued for live fish.
7. Health & Cosmetic Disclosure
Koi may vary slightly from photos due to lighting and water conditions.
Any known healed cosmetic scarring will be disclosed in the product listing.
All sales are final once fish are accepted and removed from original shipping bag.
By completing the purchase, buyer agrees to these Terms & Conditions and Live Arrival procedures.
